Piezo surgery makes it possible to remove even fractured root residues without opening them up. This makes it possible to preserve the hard and soft tissue structures of the socket and forms the basis for socket preservation, socket sealing or immediate implant placement. Piezo surgery enables atraumatic extraction of teeth that are not worth preserving. Root residues and fractured teeth can also be removed by means of osteotomy without opening up. This forms the basis for preserving the alveolar process using socket and ridge preparation or immediate implant placement.
