MyPoints!

The event shows the most important tooth-preserving techniques after trauma in the anterior region and their pitfalls. In the case of unavoidable tooth loss, the various restorative and orthodontic considerations with their special therapeutic features will be presented and evaluated. You will receive an overview of the age- and prognosis-dependent indications for orthodontic gap closure, tooth extrusion (orthodontic & surgical), premolar or deciduous tooth transplantation and decoronation when a tooth gap is left. This will enable you to better assess demanding cases and treat them yourself with a high aesthetic standard, as well as being more confident in working with your orthodontist.

Highlights:
  • restoratively critical tooth structure & pulp damage after trauma
  • early detection & options for prognostically unstable teeth with root resorption
  • Indications & clinical application with ideal ""therapeutic time window"" as well as success rates & limitationsof relevant techniques: -direct & lab-fabricated restoration -tooth extrusion -orthodontic gap closure -premolar & deciduous tooth transplantation -decoronation -adhesive bridge
  • Case selection for tooth preservation or gap restoration with assessment of the therapeutic degree of difficulty
  • Procedures for interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Experiences & recommendations for patient counseling & education with information on the cost/benefit ratio and billing
