An injury in the (visible) mouth area can be a drastic experience for the affected person, often a child. While the patient's first priority is to eliminate the immediate consequences of the accident, the practitioner must consider the often far-reaching consequences of individual treatment options. On the one hand, negative effects on jaw growth must be avoided and, on the other, the patient's long life expectancy must be taken into account. The speaker is head of the Basel Dental Accident Center and offers a deep insight into his clinical treatment concept: up-to-date, concise, practical.
