The aim of the seminar is to provide an overview of the special patient history and practical implementation of local anesthesia and tooth removal. The main focus is on the anamnestic basics from an oral surgery perspective. In everyday practice, the aim is to make it easier to decide which patient is a potential risk patient and which medications and illnesses need to be taken into account. Among other things, the treatment of patients with a tendency to bleed, patients undergoing therapy with bisphosphonates and other antiresorptive drugs and pregnant patients will be discussed in particular. Many examples and practical tips on local anesthesia and the basics of tooth removal are used to demonstrate the basic procedure through to possible socket preservation prior to implantation and the topic of complications such as alveolitis sicca is also addressed.
