Tooth sensitivity has become increasingly common in recent years. A Europe-wide study showed that over 40% of people aged 18–35 suffer from tooth sensitivity. I will discuss the causes and present effective preventive measures as well as treatment recommendations. Postoperative discomfort and "cracked tooth syndrome" are also problems we frequently encounter in daily practice. These topics will also be covered. Possible solutions will be discussed that dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants can implement directly in their daily practice.
