Aligner treatments have become a well-established alternative in orthodontics and are increasingly finding their way into general dental practice. However, not every malocclusion can be corrected equally effectively with aligners. This course aims to highlight the indications and limitations of aligners in general dental practice, taking into account the mechanics of tooth movement. Clinical case studies will help participants to better select and assess patients for aligner therapy and highlight the pitfalls that can lead to treatment failure.
Highlights:
Effective aligner therapy in general practice
Why use aligners at all?
Optimal selection of patient cases
Which cases am I confident in treating? Which ones am I not!
